MISSION

Sulabh International Academy of Environmental Sanitation and Public Health proposes to further promote the objectives and functions undertaken by SIITRAT. It envisages that it would have a much larger mandate of acting as an international centre of holistic learning and education of all issues related to promotion of sanitation. The objective is to treat sanitation as a major field of education and study, revitalizing training programmes involving highly qualified sanitation experts, engineers, health professionals, social scientists, ecologists and scholars from all other related fields. The Academy aims at bringing sanitation into sharp focus of academic activities and research nationally, regionally and globally. Towards this end an Academy is being planned to be setup on an ambitious scale in a 44 acres plot in Gurgaon to the status of university.

Under the aegis of Sulabh International Academy of Environmental Sanitation and Public Health, a number of HRD activities have been undertaken during the last couple of years. Regular training courses have been organised for hospital nurses, doctors and technical officers of Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, officers and trainees from African countries under UN-HABITAT program, Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI), SIDA, HUDCO and many other departments of the Central, State and Local Governments Personnel and representatives of NGOs from all over the country.
